i FINALLY got around to trying my sample of this and then realized it was on the list to be discontinued, so had to quickly grab an 8oz. i don't get a clear 'smoke' as in tobacco or incense feel, but the combination with vetiver and amber creates a freshly turned earth/petrichor-type scent, and the vanilla balances it out perfectly. highly rec grabbing a bottle before it disappears! layers beautifully with heretic nosferatu, sorce the things unsaid, replica when the rain stops, etc.
